![]() ![]() This article highlights the ten best tools you can use in monitoring your computer’s CPU temperature.īest CPU & GPU Monitoring Software 1. ![]() Thankfully, there are a considerable number of CPU monitoring tools that can help you track your CPU temperature in real-time. However, if you’re into hardcore gaming and overclocking, you must keep an eye on your PC’s internal temperatures.Ī computer with a high CPU temperature is exposed to several hardware risks that’s why monitoring your PC temperature is important. The average computer user who just tackles daily tasks like typing, researching, printing, etc., would probably not need to monitor their CPU temperature. Monitoring your computer’s temperature is probably one of the best things you can do for your PC, especially if you’re using Windows machines. Sometimes, they just want to stress test their newly built PC to ensure it performs optimally. Most times, users monitor their PC’s temperature to help diagnose an underlying hardware problem. I was expecting ArmA 3 to take full advantage of multicore CPUs so seeing identical CPU utilization behavior as in ArmA 2 is a sad. There are a lot of reasons why you’d like to monitor your computer’s CPU and GPU. Considering the largest town isn't nowhere as large as the big towns in Takistan and Chernarus and the performance is worse it doesn't seem like the big towns in Altis are going to be playable with current generation of computer hardware. 30 vs 30 PVP was practically unplayable and 10 vs 10 PVP in the largest town ran only 30-40 fps. The performance in multiplayer was worse. With 15 vs 15 mission in the largest town the game ran 40-50fps. ![]() I put 100+ vs 100+ AI battle in the largest town and as the mission started the fps was around 3 and steadily climbed to 20+ as the AIs killed each other. ![]() I played around with the editor for couple a hours and the fps seems to be tied to number of AIs in singleplayer. For example the infantry and scuba showcases ran very well (low number of AI opponents) but the helicopter showcase was running around 30fps regardless of what graphics settings I used, only view distance seemed to have significant impact on fps in that mission. Poor CPU and GPU utilization combined with poor fps in certain scenarios. I had similar experience with my Core 8GB RAM and GTX570 rig (ArmA 3 installed on SSD). Oh and if someone wondered, for the gpu/cpu usage/temps i'm using MSI Afterburner with HWiNFO64. is only like 4-5C higher than the one i see when idling in windows.) So i guess it's actually for physical cpu's not cores?Īnother screenshot where the cpu usage is beyond a joke:Īctually on this screenshot it looks like the game is actively using only 1 core? (and the temp. i tried -cpuCount=4 start parameter and the game is crashing on startup. I'm just going to go play with some launch parameters to see how they change things in game if I find anything that seems to help I'll post asap K3lt, I'll return shortly I'ma see if I can think of anything that may help. Post added at 11:49 PM - Previous post was at 11:48 PM. Set shadows to high so the GPU processes them it may release the cpu a bit more. Graphics gets bottlenecked by CPU hence why neither is being used above 60%. Brute speed enables that 60% to be a little faster. I've never seen arma use more than 60% of CPU hence why ridiculously high overclocks have always been required. ![]()
